Protein Shakes

I used to drink one, if not two, protein shakes a day.  Typically, one after my AM workout and one after my PM workout.  My shakes usually consist of chocolate protein powder, ice, a banana (in the AM), cinnamon and water.  But I am constantly looking for ways to other delicious shakes without making them unhealthy.

Here are a few of the recipes I have found or come up with.

Cake Batter Protein Shake 

Strawberry Cheesecake Protein Shake



  • 8 oz. Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk
  • 1-2 Scoops Vanilla Protein Powder
  • 1 tsp. No Sugar Added Cheesecake Pudding Powder
  • 3-5 Strawberries
  • Ice

Green Smoothie

  • 1 Handful Spinach
  • 1 Banana
  • 8 oz. Unsweetened Almond Milk
  • 1 Scoop Vanilla Protein Powder
  • Ice
  • Sometimes, I add a bit of Kale

Coffee Shake

This one takes a little more preparation than the others because you either have to make coffee the night before or coffee ice cubes. I tend to make coffee ice cubes because it gives the shake more flavor.  I just pour coffee into an ice tray and freeze the coffee into cubes!

  • 1 Scoop Chocolate or Vanilla Protein Powder
  • A splash of Almond Milk
  • 1 Banana
  • 1 tsp. Cinnamon
  • Replace ice with coffee cubes or 8 oz. cold coffee (hot coffee will make the shake incredible sloshy.)
